Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Your privacy choices

VinCheck doesn't sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising tags from Google, Meta, Reddit and OpenAI to measure which ads bring visitors and purchases. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, that can count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out here.

Checking your current setting…

Your choice is saved in a cookie on this browser and device. If you clear cookies or use another browser, set it again, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and we'll honor it automatically.

What opting out does

  • The Meta, Reddit and OpenAI advertising tags are not loaded on your visits.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized page interactions to help us fix usability problems, is not loaded either.
  • Google tags run with advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization turned off.
  • We keep first-party analytics (page views and site performance) that we use only to run and improve VinCheck.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or extension sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. You don't need to do anything else.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject "Privacy request". We confirm requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.

What we collect

Your email and account details, the VINs you look up, purchase records (payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store card numbers), and technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages visited. Vehicle history reports describe vehicles, not their owners. See the privacy policy for details.
